I’m not your typical “quit my job and travel full-time” story—I wish! But that’s just not me. I’m a corporate girly, with an undeniable passion for travel. I’ve always dreamed of exploring the world and soaking up new experiences, and though my travel journey has had a slow start, I’m determined to check off every spot on my bucket list.
Born and raised in New Jersey, I moved to Florida for college, then returned to New Jersey, where I met my husband, Dustin. Fast forward to today, we have two kids—a curious 8-year-old son and a spirited 3-year-old daughter.
Before meeting me, Dustin had never left the country (can you believe it?). That needed to change. A man with a passport is a keeper, right? Once we had kids, we realized just how important it was to expose them to different cultures and venture into the unknown. With both of us balancing busy careers—me in HR and Dustin in his mysterious role fixing trains (seriously, I'm still not entirely sure what he does)—we’ve learned to make the most of our vacation time.
In a nutshell (or should I say, coco-nut?), I’m a planner at heart. Whether it's crafting a vacation itinerary, putting together packing lists, or giving travel recommendations, I’m all in. I have recently started as a travel advisor, and in my free time, I love helping friends and family plan their trips. Starting this blog was a way to collect my travel tips, experiences, and insights in one place—and to offer a realistic approach to travel. Not everyone can quit their job and travel the world, and I want to show you how to make the most of the time and resources you have.
My family of four? We're a bunch of coconuts! We love to laugh, play, and enjoy each other’s company. My husband and I have worked hard to create a space where our kids can grow, learn, and just be kids. We’re big believers in finding fun in everything we do—whether that’s at a county fair, an amusement park, or just spending time outdoors. As soon as our youngest was old enough to travel, we hit the ground running. My son, in particular, is obsessed with learning about the countries of the world, and his curiosity is what keeps us exploring!
Right now, cruising is our family’s favorite way to travel. With little ones in tow, it’s simply the most convenient and stress-free way to explore new places. Boarding a ship and setting sail feels like a vacation in itself — we get to relax, unpack once, and visit multiple destinations without the hassle of constant packing and unpacking. Cruises offer everything we need, from kid-friendly activities to adult-only retreats, and the all-inclusive nature makes it perfect for our busy family life.
That being said, no matter where we roam, Disney World will always have a special place in my heart. As a self-proclaimed Disney Princess, I’ve always been enchanted by the magic of the parks, and now, my daughter is following in my footsteps, becoming a little Disney enthusiast herself. There’s something timeless about the joy and wonder that Disney brings, and no matter how much we travel, we always find time to visit the magical world of Disney. It’s our family’s happy place, where the magic of childhood and the joy of making memories together never fades.
Thank you so much for joining me on this adventure! I hope that our journey will inspire you to keep your curiosity and sense of adventure alive, whether you're cruising the seas, exploring new cultures, or visiting your own special happy place. Until next time, my fellow coconuts, keep traveling🌴🥥
